CEO says Rosneft sells $93 bln at currency market 2014
NOVO-OGARYOVO, Moscow Region Feb 5 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft changed U.S. $93 billion of its export revenue into rubles in 2014, CEO Igor Sechin told President Vladimir Putin late Wednesday.
“I would like to report that Rosneft sold about $93 billion on the currency market in 2014 and this way we’ve contributed to the country’s currency system stabilization,” he said.
In December, Rosneft said that it will spend its ruble-denominated part of revenue, 625 billion rubles raised through a placement of exchange bonds, on local projects rather than on purchase of hard currency.
